When I filmed in Nicaragua 3 years ago I was completely overwhelmed. The biological diversity, warm tropical climate, and active volcanoes make Nicaragua an increasingly popular tourist destination. Nearly one fifth of the territory is designated as protected areas like national parks, nature reserves, and biological reserves.
