Eviction Protections Explained
I share with you eviction protections that are still in place. The City of Los Angeles still has a moratorium until at least October 24, 2022, that forbids landlords from evicting tenants who have not paid rent because of the pandemic.
The Council granted authority to issue bond financing for two 100-percent affordable housing developments in Council District 1, allowing the projects to break ground in Winter 2021. The Quincy Apartments is a 53-unit supportive housing project, and Westlake Apartments is a 77-unit supportive housing project.
The City of Los Angeles redistricting process – an event that redraws Council District lines every ten years – continues to move forward. I encourage you to participate in the public hearings.
