Do you remember who the MVP of the last World Baseball Classic was? It was Marcus Stroman, who was fantastic in leading Team USA to its first-ever WBC championship. Well, he’s back six years later, this time playing for Puerto Rico and earning the start in its Classic opener.
Hopefully his manager, Yadier Molina, has some experience dealing with pitchers. Stroman will face Brewers farmhand Carlos Rodriguez, who will lead Nicaragua in its first-ever WBC game.

For a country with a rich history of baseball, it will be a truly historic day.
