UPLAND is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States on the border with neighboring Los Angeles County.

As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 79,040.
Upland was incorporated as a city on May 15, 1906; it was previously named North Ontario. Upland is located at the foot of the highest part of the San Gabriel Mountains and is part of the Inland Empire.
Historic Downtown Upland, is a group of downtown merchants who work together to promote and enhance the historic business district. Downtown is made up of nearly 200 businesses providing a diversity of merchandise, restaurants, breweries and services.
